.William was apprenticed to James Hubert and married Ann Margaret when he completed it. He also worked for him in 1813 and 1817 (from insurances). William was a shipwright (barge builder) and a qualified waterman and lighterman. Two sons James William and George were watermen and lightermen , and shipwrights. Sophia came to Australia in 1834 and her brother George in 1886 . He died here in 1888.

William married Ann Margaret Hubert, daughter of James Hubert and Ann Hopkins, on 15 Sep 1806 in St Mary, Battersea. (Ann Margaret Hubert was born in Feb 1790, christened on 21 Mar 1790 in Christchurch, Southwark 2 and was buried on 27 Oct 1850 in St Mary, Lambeth.)
Marriage to Ann Margaret Hubert spinster (she was 18) at St Mary, Battersea. One of the witnesses was James Hubert, the other Josh Abberly. He must be the clerk as I note he is recorded thus as witness to the marriage of James George Hubert on your information. My spelling did not have an e. There are dozens of Abberly in Battersea. PR
